The change is very obvious compared to the spring fork. Very affordable option if you are building an entry level bike. Compression and bounce are decent when bouncing off the bike while riding.

Rides at 185lbs with a 6" curb down resulting in impact compression of about 1.5". Great paint quality and good impact. The locking setting prevents fork compression until a significant shock occurs. When the locking adjuster knob is in the open position, the suspension fork is able to compress quickly and freely throughout its travel range. When the locking adjuster knob is in the locked position, the suspension fork will not compress into its travel until a significant impact or downward force occurs.

To activate the lockout mode, turn the adjuster knob clockwise until it stops. To deactivate lockout mode, turn the adjuster knob counterclockwise.
